We would prefer to employ someone who would like the opportunity to return to our firm to continue his/her co-op training and also would consider full time employment after his/her university career is completed.
About you
The candidates that we are looking for would have the following attributes:
- Currently enrolled in the third year of an Undergraduate program;
- Demonstrates academic excellence and leadership ability
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal relations and ability to work effectively with others;
- Has strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Is a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter that is willing to take ownership for their contributions to servicing our clients;
- Shows strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office)
Having previous experience using Caseware, Caseview and Taxprep would be an asset.

- Be able to set up a new client file
- Be comfortable entering trial balances
- Be comfortable posting journal entries
- Be able to link new accounts to financial statements in Caseview
- Working papers
- Have a good understanding of the methodology of working paper preparation and documentation
- Be comfortable in the preparation of certain sections of the file, such as audit procedures for the sales/receivable cycle
- Be comfortable with the preparation of checklists
- Prepare a complete Notice to Reader file
- Assist in the performance of Review and Audit engagements
- Be able to use Doc-it (paperless office) software in conjunction with Caseware
- Corporate Income Taxes
- Be able to set up a new client file
- Have a basic understanding of the preparation of tax returns and general tax theory for tax planning purposes
- Personal Income Taxes
- Be able to set up a new client file
- Be comfortable in preparing a simple return
- Other
- Be able to prepare T4 & T5 slips and summaries
- Have an understanding of payroll, GST, WSIB, and EHT
- Develop a professional work ethic
